Pacific Permanente Group (PPG) proudly announces the addition of Cameron Donaldson, MD, FACC, expanding access to advanced cardiovascular care for the people of Maui. His arrival strengthens PPG’s ability to deliver high-quality, coordinated specialty care close to home.
Dr. Donaldson is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed his internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center. He went on to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center, followed by advanced training in vascular diagnostics and intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Bringing extensive clinical and leadership experience to Maui, Dr. Donaldson most recently served as a vascular interventional cardiologist with Maine Medical Partners and as Director of Regional Cardiac Catheterization Services for the MaineHealth cardiovascular service line. He has also held multiple academic appointments, including assistant clinical professor roles, and has been recognized for his contributions to medical education.
“Dr. Donaldson brings deep expertise and a strong commitment to patient-centered cardiovascular care,” said Chris Martin, MD, assistant area medical director of Pacific Permanente Group. “His experience in both clinical practice and medical education will help us continue to expand access to advanced heart and vascular services for the Maui community.”
Dr. Donaldson’s addition enhances PPG’s existing specialties in behavioral health, cardiology, critical care medicine, internal medicine, gastroenterology, neurology, orthopedics, and pulmonology. His expertise supports both inpatient and outpatient care at Maui Memorial Medical Center and its outpatient clinic.
“I’m honored to join Pacific Permanente Group and to serve the Maui community,” said Dr. Donaldson. “I look forward to working alongside a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, coordinated cardiovascular care for patients and their families.”
