About Me
I was born and raised in Chicago. After receiving my bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, I did graduate work in epidemiology at the University of Illinois School of Public Health.
I received my medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and did a general surgery internship at Rush University Medical Center. I then completed a urologic surgery residency at Cook County Health and Hospitals System in Chicago, which has a wonderfully diverse patient population and is where the TV drama ER was filmed.
I jumped at the opportunity to move to Maui because of its beautiful year-round climate and its special sense of community. It’s been a privilege to know and care for the people here.

About My Practice
Before going to medical school, I worked as an epidemiologist and led a research team. I changed careers and became a doctor so that I could help others on a more personal level.
As a urologist, I enjoy the diverse and collaborative nature of my practice. It’s so gratifying to have the ability to improve a person’s life profoundly. My interests include oncology, female prolapse and incontinence, male and female hormone replacement, benign prostate enlargement, and erectile dysfunction.
I’ve given presentations throughout the U.S. and abroad and have published research on reproductive health, social conditions that influence health, and family planning for cancer patients.
How I Thrive
In my leisure time, I like gardening, surfing, hiking, and jogging with my husband, spending time with family and friends, and snowboarding.
