Narrative Biography
About Me
I was born in Ontario, Canada, and raised in Upstate, New York.
After studying biblical archaeology and ancient civilization, I attended Tel Aviv University for medical school. I completed my internship and residency in internal medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and at Yale New Haven Health System’s affiliated hospitals. I then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by a second-tier fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

About My Practice
My decision to pursue a medical career was partly inspired by the poet and pediatrician William Carlos Williams. His ability to combine the art of language with the care of people spoke to my altruistic side.
I’m certified in gastroenterology, hepatology, and interventional endoscopy. This means I use advanced, minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the digestive system, liver, and related areas. I enjoy this work because it allows me to build strong connections with my patients, make thoughtful clinical decisions, and work closely with other specialists to provide the best possible care.
How I Thrive
After my wife and I raised our six beautiful children in Boulder, Colorado, we were drawn to a lifestyle and practice change that led us to Hawaii – a place where life feels deeply grounded and inspiring and where we feel honored to contribute to the health and well-being of the community.
We are passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle.
